Boot Key Harbor, Marathon, Florida
It's official. Jen and I are going to take a trip together to the Southwest. It's going to be great fun.
I am talking about the region covering Las Vegas, Sedona, Flagstaff, Metor Crater, Sunset Crater, Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Escalante and Capitol Reef. Roughly a circular region in Arizona and Utah, 300 miles in diameter with The San Francisco Mountains marking the center point.
I've done this trip several times in the past. Three times with Libby. Once with my father Jerry. Once with my son Dave. This time it will be a father-daughter experience. Someday, when John retires from the military and has more time off, I'd like to do it again with him. Then of course, there are grandchildren and great grandchildren to consider.
The West is full of wonderful geography. I haven't seen most of it. Still I think this particular part of The West is enchanting so I want to share it with family.
We start on March 1, and return March 14. Jen will fly out of Burlington, and I'll fly out of Miami. Libby will baby sit Tarwathie and do her Tai Chi and baskets.
I'm excited by the anticipation. This is going to be fun fun fun.
