The prop nut

Here is a picture of the special prop nut and zinc. I would think that it should come pre-drilled for a safety pin, but no.

    I use a prop nut zinc but my prop shaft is long enough that the cotter pin uses the slots behind the nut and the zinc covers it.

    I see your problem.

    That is completely different than mine, but then again I am a stink boater. LOL
